The Expansion Joint profles have been designed with application, function and aesthetics carefully thought out
to ensure the correct profle is used at installation stage. Available in a variety of materials Genesis provide
expansion joints to suit ceramic tile, marble and stone.
The selection of the correct Expansion Joint is determined by; area, traffc and the foor covering. Performance
and function are paramount when making your selection and our range meets both those requirements. You’ll
fnd light, medium and heavy duty expansion joints in this section, classed according to the degree of protection
the profle offers the foor covering, the anticipated traffc crossing the foor, and any point loading.
The footfall or machinery anticipated to traverse the foor, traffc is generally classed as light, medium or heavy
duty. Any profle can be used in light duty applications, and we recommended that Aluminium, Brass and
Stainless Steel profles are used in medium and heavy duty projects.
Technical
These intermediate expansion joints are classed as stress relieving control joints, and as such will accommodate
expansion and contraction of approximately +/-1.5mm. They are in accordance with the relevant British
Standards and Codes of Practice.
